I'm happy they suspended her. One of things that annoyed me was the coach saying that you can't control what happens on the field (or words to that affect). Um...when is doing that to another player ever acceptable?
Not being able to control it and deeming it acceptable are two different things. I mean things like that happen. I used to get kicked in the face playing soccer all the time. Is it acceptable? No. Can it be controlled? No.
But the question is, did someone intentionally kick you in the face? As an accident, I agree that it can't be controlled. But grabbing onto the hair of a girl in front of you, especially when the ball isn't in play and throwing her to the ground...that is not acceptable and can be controlled. Same with randomly punching someone in the back.
Yeah, I was kicked in the face on purpose a few times. They pretty much did all they could by suspending her. People are gonna do what they're gonna do, all you can do is punish them and hope its warning enough for the next idiot.
