I was mearly stating that a musician is one who plays an instrument other than their voice.

A voice can be an instrument. Just because you're jealous of Clay's talent doesn't mean that you can put him down by saying that he's not a musician.

Musician = a person who makes noise any way they want to i.e. VOICE.
