My position at work is being disestablished. I finally received my redundancy letter today. As we've been negotiating over the last two weeks, my last day will be this Friday

's funny, despite working for six different organisations so far, I've never been made redundant - it's not a thing that's happened to me. Generally I've reached the end of a contract, and not taken up the offer of another one, or I've filed my resignation (although occasionally pre-emptively before the company imploded). Seems to make for more feeling of control/peace of mind, although one is still unemployed and seeking a job at the end of it.

I think you should plan to come up here and help walk baby alpacas up and down and valley for the day. That could be a nice break!
