Six more working days on my contract. I think we'll call it a learning experience. I'm looking forward to a bit of a break after this, with some travel and some sound recording and generally some more time to fix things and explore. Learning more about the things I value more than money

My concern with Eve was really that, as a noob I'd be exploited. I heard horror stories about noobs being lured out into ambushes. I always thought that if I joined I would make sure it was with an established group that I knew some of the members of outside the game (i.e. people I could trust).
Unlikely to ever play it now, with SWTOR likely to be my one and only MMORPG.

EVE is many things to many people. To most people it's not particularly about roleplay: that just happens to be my thing and there's a section of the EVE world that embraces that. It does make me think about why I play the games I play, though, and how I'm usually seeking off-label uses for things: I'm very much not EVE's target demographic.
