Wolverine, Fast and the Furious, and Earth
I don't have time for full reviews on... well, any of them, but I did want to say a few words about each.
Fandom rating: A+ Hugh Jackman is hot as hell, Ryan Reynolds also hot as hell (and funny as always), and Liev Schreiber nicely menacing. Movie rating: A I thoroughly enjoyed myself, never once looked away from the screen, and couldn't come up with any gaping plot holes. I don't know the canon, so don't expect any comparisons.
Fandom rating: A Vin Diesel. Period. (Though he's looking a little old - which, hey, I know, he is a little old, but it's hollywood - no one ever looks older until they're dead). Movie rating: B- Some major plot holes. But the gay! The gay is strong with this movie. Even though I don't like Paul Walker that much.
Fandom rating: B I like James Earl Jones. Shut up. Movie rating: B It was good. It just wasn't epic like the trailers said it was going to be. I wanted more out of it. I don't know what, exactly, but more. Still, it was gorgeous, and I'm going to have to get a huge HDTV setup to play it on when it comes out on DVD.
