In Zoology while dissecting a squid, the professor mentioned a great place for calamari in our area.

We visited Madison Garden’s and true enough their calamari pasta was incredibly tasty.  The calamari was moist and tender and went well with a garlic butter sauced rotini.

A week ago our campus dining service made an incredible sweet potato chowder, very thai inspired flavour with the sweetness and heat of the dish.  I definately would love to be able to make a reasonible fascimile of the dish myself.

My classes have kept me pretty much occupied for the last few weeks.  But I am feeling more confident with them now.  All my classes have a lab component except for Statistics, which extends one’s in-class time considerably.

I think that Joe Biden did incredibly well in the vp debate.  I believe he is the clearcut winner of the debate because he answered all the questions presented to him in a knowledgeable way.  Palin on the other hand seemed to avoid most questions presented to her.  I did not get ( Read more... )

I saw a few weeks ago ‘pickled watermelon rind’ and decided to read up on eating watermelon rind.  Big news is that watermelon rind contains compounds which behave similarly to viagra.  Well we purchased a watermelon for Independence Day festivities and had some rind left.  From ( Read more... )
