Oh, I really like this! Cleon is always underrated in fandom, it seems, and I can really see him thinking like this- that because he wanted to see her wry look and smile directed at him for a change, not Nealan of Queenscove. Lovely. :)

I'm so glad you liked it! I've never understood why Cleon is so frequently portrayed badly in fandom, when all he ever did was appreciate and love Kel for who she was. It makes me happy to hear you say that I've portrayed him believably. =)

Awww. That's really sweet! I'm not big on Cleon/Kel myself, but you've really captured the way he feels about her. I love it!

Thanks! I'm not big on Cleon/Kel either, in the sense of a permanent relationship between the two, but I do think he was good for her and a wonderful first relationship. I think he gave her the confidence in her own beauty that will serve her well in the future. I'm glad that you feel I've captured him well.

I always thought they got a raw deal -- well, especially him. His personality didn't really suit a knight, and we never got to see if the woman me married was suited to him.

You did a nice job with this. You should definitely participate more.
