The End of the World as we Know it

Feb 25, 2005 22:31

Well, the news came today. I didn't get the Sullivan. Needless to say, I'm pretty sad. I was really hoping to get that. However! I DID get the next best scholarship at Seattle. It's a $12,000 scholarship every year for 4 years. On top of that, I go to a Jesuit school (appropriately enough, named Jesuit) so that guarantees me another $1,000 ( Read more... )

They aren't that impressive, but they're amusing considering I, Andrew Perez, Mr. Can't-Play-My-Guitar, wrote them :-D

um, dude, of course they aren't impressive--i mean, NOTHING'S impressive compared to my musical prowess. in fact, the only reason i want to play them is to show you how simple they are and how good of a guitarist i am. you should know by know that all i like to do is show off, you dumbass.

since when do all of these people play guitar? Everyone I have talked to lately... "So what are you doing?"... "Playing my guitar" ?!? Well good for you that you play the guitar. And don't worry about the scholarship... you still seem like you have everything worked out. So I haven't talked to you in a while.. how is life?

Life's been insane. I haven't slept in a few weeks and I haven't seen my home during a weekday in three weeks... but it's been fun at least!

um, newsflash cara: EVERYONE who's cool plays guitar. seriously, the moment you pick up a guitar your cool points increase by the millions. it doesn't matter if you can't even play one chord right, as long as you say "i can play guitar" and you can pluck a note, you're cool.

Sorry bout Sullivan. But I'm so happy that you'll still get to go! Awesome about all those "little bonuses" you get! And look at the bright side - you made it this far. That's a lot more than a bunch of people will ever be able to say...

Very cool about the music too. On our movie night you'll hafta demonstrate for me. you can use my bro's electric, base, acoustic or eukelele (sp?). (and we ARE going to have a movie nite. sometime, somewhere. soon.) :D

i can't tell you how excited i am for Move. No joke. I got someone to buy my tickets, and I'm bringing Vanessa along to enjoy it with me. I honestly think it's the only thing that's gonna get me thru finals. Looking forward to it. So yay!

Muchos gracias. Right now I'm thinking that luck is just about the only thing I have going for me at the moment. Maybe I should bust out a book or two. Jeez, who am I trying to kid?. We all know that is SO not going to happen until Monday night...

Thank you!

And, as always, I'm living day-by-day. If I get ahead of myself, or behind myself, I lose it. Every day is a new day and every day brings a fresh start. I'm living by this motto at least until MOVE!... well... you know......but I'm not thinking about that yet. When it's here, I'll face it. I'm not going to let myself face that yet, though. Then I'm just fighting it unnecessarily and I do NOT have extra energy to use on THAT! :-)
