You know, I used to be pretty punk rock, squatting in New Orleans where I actually NEEDED the saftey pins to hold my clothes together and I only ate what I stole or "spanged" for...heh, those were the days and it was kinda fun too. It was better to have a crew to be homeless with than to be alone. Ah yes, that was the way it was and I'm glad it's not that way anymore. Living like that, being drunk at 4am with nowhere to pass out besides perhaps on the bank of the smelly mississippi...no thanks, no more of that for me...
Yes, these days I want to vomit on the likes of Avril Lavigne who might then get their first real taste of punk fuckin rock. yay!

I was never what you could call a true punk. But I never was a poser, trying to be one.
It makes me wonder if these kids are out there doing this because they truely think they are part of that lifestyle (which is all but dead to begin with) or if record company folks are using it as a tool.
WOW. I found this journal randomly, and read that first post. I could not agree with you more, save for one thing. It is possible to NOT be one of the new age, teen wanna be MTV freaks and be young. Or so I like to think.
