determination and headless horses

I am Most Resolute; and this being the case, I'm going to stick progress updates here.. that way, they're staring me in the face (rawr) and I have to keep right on doing something about them!

From here down is pretty much just process nerdery; and unless you're into that sort of thing like I am, you're welcome to, you know, not read it.

The horses have heads now, and some color across the odd swirly water perhaps? bit at the bottom! I'll photograph tomorrow.

Agreed and agreed; I'm sure I've bitched to you about my art professor before - she drove me insane - but she did instill a few useful, practical notions in her students and bread and butter was one of them. She gestured to one of her own pieces - a fruity floral still-life - and shrugged, it's bread and butter. Not very exciting, she told us, but it sells, and reliably, thus allowing her to pour her soul into the works we'd just seen - deeply abstract confections with imagined landscapes populated by seashells.

Can Max be kept barefoot? I have these laminate floors; the landlady might bitch if I kept a shod horse on them. Barefoot, now, that'd be okay, surely...
