Dodger and I just spent the last five hours cleaning out and updating our space. We have a dresser and a real end-table now. Of course, that involved putting them together. And then reorganizing. mm... cleaning a space together can certainly help it feel more like home.
and building furniture! that reminds me of our experience with my ikea shelf... good times, good memories.

i was totally thinking about your ikea shelf as we were building our new furniture! very good times..

our room is feeling cozier. we celebrated yesterday by having a season 1 The 'L' Word marathon.. mmm my guilty pleasure! i've determined that shane's character is my alter ego. it's cathartic to watch her in action! heh ; )

i'm excited for you to see the shelf someday..! i've decorated the whole thing with gifts from the sea - sea glass, stones, seashells, etc. they are all glued along the edges. it's beautiful.

ooh, l word! yes, that's a guilty pleasure for me too... i've only ever seen a couple of episodes, though. i currently don't have a tv and therefore don't really have access. but shane! *swoon* she's totally my favorite & i have such a crush on her.<3

i would love to see your shelf..it sounds magnificent! i crave some good beach / sea-dwelling time.
have you read The Awakening by Kate Chopin yet? i highlyhighlyhighly reccomend it!!

Leisha Hailey (who plays Alice) rocks, too (she's been in The Murmurs & Gush - have you heard much by either of these bands?)
