29. What item does your character wish he possessed that he doesn't? How badly does he want it and
what would he do to get it?
Photos of Kim, Chase and Angela from the last year. He wishes he could watch his granddaughter grow up. Also, his Silver Star (which he doesn't actually have as the mission was highly classified), not for himself but so he could give it to Kim, to pass down to her children.
• Think back to when your character was five years old, eight years old, twelve years old.
Write a holiday gift wish-list from his point of view.
Eight years old:
-a new bike (a ten-speed, with real hand brakes!)
-books
-model car/airplane/space-related kits
-BB gun
-his own chess set
• How does your character feel about physical possessions in a general sense?
He's really not concerned about personal possessions generally, the only exceptions being family mementos: photos, Father's Day gifts from Kim when she was little, all those little things that are irreplaceable. Everything else he doesn't really need (well, other than his gun and his cellphone).
30. What is your character's most treasured possession?
Well, other than the gun and the cellphone, the studio photo of Kim, Teri and himself--it's the one personal memento that he allowed himself to take when he went into exile.

1. What is your character's secret dream? What one goal, ambition or desire does she keep hidden
from others, and why? What would he do to achieve it?
I'm not sure how secret it is, but his one desire--one he doesn't really talk about--is just to have a regular life. Wife, kids, house in the suburbs, dinner with his family every night; the little things. It's not that it's some deep, dark secret; he just has next to no hope that it'll ever happen, so he doesn't really talk about it.
• Write a list of your character's top five lifetime achievement goals.
1) Keep his family safe
2) Keep innocent people safe
3) Make sure his family and friends know how much he cares about them
4) Be a good father, grandfather, husband, friend
5) (As of last year) Keep the wrong people from finding out he's alive
• Starting at age 15, write down one major goal for each five years of your character's life until
his current age.
15 - Join the military, get good grades so he can go to university and get out of the house.
20 - Keep his country safe, be a good husband.
25 - Ditto, along with "be a good father"
30 - Same
35 - Patch things up with Teri, same as above
40 - Be a better father to Kim, keep country safe, get information from upcoming undercover mission with the Salazars
Current (Jack is 43 years old)- Be a good father, grandfather, friend; successfully hide from those who think he's dead
2. What is your character's worst fear? How far would he go to avoid it?
Worst fear, hands down, is losing Kim, Angela or anyone else close to him; it always was, but became even stronger after Teri was murdered. He would do very nearly anything to keep that from happening, the only exceptions being hurting someone he loved, or committing treason. In that last case, he would do some "treasonous" things, if there was the slimmest of chances that there's something he can do to reverse it (ie. letting a suspect go who's threatening to kill a family member, if Jack has the hope that he can track the suspect once his loved one is safe).
3. If your character could be any famous person, whom would she choose and why?
Jack really isn't interested in fame; it's not he isn't interested in being someone else, it's that he's not interested in being someone else famous.
• List your character's favorite celebrities.
"Celebrity" in the entertainment/sports context...he has bands and artists and actors whose work he really loves, but he doesn't really care much about the people themselves. He has a certain amount of respect for people like Bono, who actually do something to suport a cause rather than toss money at it or do a commercial for it.
• How does your character feel about the concept of fame and celebrity in general?
He supports people being recognised for their skills, abilities and accomplishments when they've actually done something important, something really meaningful to others or to the world. Not so much with actors, sports figures, musicians, etc. On a personal note, he really doesn't care about fame, notoriety, power, or position. Most of his life he's worked in fields where the public purposefully never knows what you do, and that's fine with him.
• Is your character more interested in entertainment figures or historically significant figures?
Historically significant figures, hands down, as in his opinion, they actually did something worthy of recognition--whether it's acclaim, or to serve was warning to future generations of the depths humanity can sink to.
4. If your character could achieve any one position of authority, what would she choose and why?
...Actually, he really doesn't have one. Part of him would like to be head of CTU: LA again, mainly because he'd be able to actively do something to help keep people safe, but at the same time he wouldn't want it because working at CTU has cost him so much personally. He'd rather had a wife and family than be head of anything again.
5. If your character could change the entire world in one tiny but pervasive way, what would it be?
He...kind of already has, with the help of CTU: LA. He got the one little piece of information that helped stop the United States from starting a war with three innocent countries. He's caught and broken the person who planned a bioweapon attack on the US, keeping the virus from being released on a large scale, which would have spread internationally. At this point, he's only really interested in making sure that his daughter and granddaughter are the best people they can be, which always has the power to change the world for generations to come.
