New poster.
Character is Derek Bliss from Vampires: Los Muertos, played after the timeline in the movie, in a multi-universal game with several offshoots--the two of which he is most active in is
dear_multiverse and
wing_line. Hopefully, answering back-logged questions is all right.
1. Who is your character's confidant?
Derek has a couple. First on the list is his wife, Jun (
shiratorijun). She's the one who gets all the soul-deep, never shown to the rest of the world issues that he possesses. About the only thing he doesn't share with her 100% is his less than sterling opinions of some of her brothers. It's not because he's afraid of her knowing, but he doesn't want to hurt her by slamming them, so he keeps his mouth shut out of respect unless she presses.
Second is Liz and Henry Townshend-Sherman (
domina_inge and
unbroken). These are his best friends, and he can trust them to both support him as well as be straight with him when he needs it most.
2. Is your character married? Does he have a lover, significant other, girlfriend, boyfriend?
Derek is married to Jun of the Gatchaman team (Multiverse/ Nexus...what can you say?).
3. Whom does your character live with?
Derek lives with his wife, a young fox-shidhe child, and a Japanese bobtail kitten known as Shrimp.
4. If you were to use the speed dial function on your character's telephone, who would answer?
Jun.
5. How does your character feel about his co-workers? What are they like?
Derek tends to work solo, although he has friends he could call on in a professional capacity if needed. His boss/fixer is a guy by the name of Eno, and he has a very...active...relationship with the man that is one part respect, two parts reminding the guy who's really doing who a favor. He likes Eno, but he's frustrated constantly by all the machinations they have to go through with each other to get something as simple as weapons and a battle plan set out. He knows it's because Eno is working under constraints he can nothing about, but it still frustrates the living hell out of him.
6. To whom did your character give birthday presents last year, and what did he give them?
Last year, Derek was still getting used to having people around, having spent more than a decade before that as a solo hunter and a lone-wolf, wandering gun-slinger arch-type. He did his best to acknowledge birthdays, but didn't buy much of anything for anyone until around Christmas.
7. What did your character receive for his last birthday?
Last year, it was the first time he'd celebrated in close to thirteen years, and the only one who really got him was his wife-to-be. She got him a candle in a glass, a massage, and a week at a resort furo. This yearm he failed to realize that it was his birthday...and no one else realized either. So far, he;s gotten two well-wishes. No doubt his wife got him something, but what has yet to be revealed.
