You might want to look into the crusades, heretics, the protestant movement, witchcraft trials, and a number of other things before you start pointing fingers. Religion has always been used by others to further their causes.

If you want more recent times, look at the protestants and the catholics in Ireland if you want to see the extreme. Look at the militantism of anti-abortionists in the US. We've got gays being beat by people, thumping the bible that they're right in doing so. Here in Columbus, we've got an area that was developed and brought out of being a slum by a gay and pagan population that is being pushed out of that area by conservative right Christian groups if you want to see the more subtle. They're buying up the property then closing out the leases or picketing their store fronts. If you look around, it's everywhere, not just the muslims. There are a number of cults out there that will take you in and poison your mind against someone else using religion. And they only make up a small percentage of the people, not the entire religious group

I appreciate your comments, however, all of these actions, as terrible as they are, cannot and do not compare to what was been happening here. These atrocities against innocent people are being committed on a GLOBAL scale. They have been committed by followers of ONE religion who want to acheive Islam domination by setting up Islamic states all over the world.They have not taken out their aggression on their 'so called agressors', but innocent people all over the world who have done nothing to bring about these acts that have left their families devistated, and the rest of the world in fear. I cannot see any comparison. The closest comparison may be Hitler's mass execution of innocent jews I believe
