Short story in Spanish :)

For my Spanish class our homework was to write about something in the past, fact or fiction (to practice preterite and imperfect), so I just wrote a quick story (it's due tomorrow btw - yes I'm a hopeless procrastinator).  Anyway, I was just wondering if some of y'all wouldn't mind reading it and telling me what you think?  Please don't correct

Sorry, but just at a quick glance. BE CAREFUL with the gender, you're putting a where there should be an a and vice versa.
