Fairy tale fail?

So, last year I got a Disney Princess Christmas CD as a gift. I haven't listened to it until now, and I've got to say, it's getting to me. First of all, the women singing hardly sound like the original princesses in the movies. Heh, I understand what you're saying. The whole industry Disney has built around its "princesses" kinda creeps me out.

The honest-to-god historical Pocahontas did convert to Christianity, though. :D And then went to England and died of smallpox or something. :(

Mmhmm. Also, I forgot to mention, they're giving the princesses cover credit instead of the singers. It's like they want people to think the princesses really exist. *sigh*

I wasn't sure, but I'd suspected as much. Smallpox included. ;) Doesn't make me any less annoyed, really. She shouldn't have had to convert, and I doubt she'd be feeling happy enough about it to be singing Christmas songs.
