The Large Hadron Collider is up and running, finally, finally, and it hasn't sucked us into a black hole! Yay! (Am I the only one amused by the fact it took them a year to fix the problems? Or the "Higgs boson as time-travelling anti-LHC particle" theory?)

Crossed Genres is a monthly sci-fi and fantasy zine that I stumbled across by accident a few months ago. They publish in print, pdf, and prc formats, and they sell the issues for very good prices ($9.99 is a year's subscription, for instance). Draft Three. Page 40. Only doing protagonist rewrites, for now. Figure this will give better continuity on story. And language. Et cetera. Past two scenes involved much rewriting. I'm struggling a little on Draft 3 right now, for no reason except that I want this draft to be perfect from the get-go, no tweaking required. Unfortunately, I don't write perfectly on the fly, and I'm having to, once again, do a fair bit of rewriting, to get Protagonist's voice right and get that oh-so-glorious urban fantasy feel.
