i like it, for the simple reason that it combines both dinosaurs and trains, and kids love both of those things. it has generally good lessons, and i even can't complain too hard about Point of Fact Man, who shows up to announce that dinosaurs didn't really sing like Elvis, or practice martial arts, or play ice hockey.
I just can't think too hard about the worldwide mechanics unless I want to delve into some (comparatively) serious bsns for a while. ^_^
I hadn't even started to get to the heaven/hell point. I was still stuck on the "conductor and/or troodons == god" part.
That does sort of pull my theory together, though. Maybe the Dinosaur Train world is dinosaur heaven. Everyone is happy, or more or less so, and any problems are temporary. The main cast goes around making certain to meet all of the other dinosaurs, even the ones they think are scary, and everything always turns out okay in the end.
It could be that the train itself is heaven, and it moves smoothly between pockets of the dinosaur world and heaven, taking some dinosaurs to heaven when the time comes. Of course, they're not going to show dinosaur hell on a kids' show; maybe those are the dinosaurs who are aware that they're eating their friends in that carrion, or each piece of the carrion is still as sentient as it was when that dinosaur went to hell...
