On the last point -- someone does have to do some of those things, but someone could be everyone. It turns out I'm having my Rothbard moment as I enter my '30s. It's so much bigger than humanities majors and baristas. The problem is civilization. Start any higher up the pyramid and the point is missed.

Institutions are dangerous. I've learned that a few times over, so when I read this passage, it resonated.
