luck or karma?

When things happened in life, we wonder 'why did this happen?'

There are two options: luck or karma?

If something good happens, it can be good luck or it means you did something good & life is rewarding you.
If something bad happens, it can be bad luck or it means you did something bad & life is punishing you.

I believe the two cannot exist in the same plane of existence. You either believe in one and, consciously or subconsciously, debunk the other. Do you believe in the random events of luck or the causality of karma?

I just.. really don't know anymore.. Like, I never used to believe in Karma.. but I during the aftermath I was like "My luck cannot be THIS bad..." and then it turned to "What if this is some kind of... world-backlash from something I've done? Perhaps I was too arrogant or materialistic?" I don't know.. All I know that I'm having a hard time cooping with this and yeah.. my parents aren't speaking to me because they think I purposefully left my stuff in there when, for once, I actually forgot.. anyway.. that's another story entirely.. *sigh*

Everyone goes through something like this at least once in their life. I remember in 9th grade, a friend of mine had his car broken into at school and everything (including his sound system) was stolen. You just take a situation like this and gain experience from it. I don't think you'll be leaving anything valuable in your car from now on, right? And anyone who knows what you've gone through probably will learn from it, too. I know since my sister's identity-theft a couple years ago, I've been a lot more weary. Instead of dwelling on the negative aspects, just focus on the more positive. I mean, the robber could have taken off with your car, or did a lot more damage. And as long as you know you didn't leave it in there on purpose, that's all that should matter. I know they're your parents, but accidents do happen. And yes, they should be upset, but I'm sure they'll get over it eventually. Things have a way of working themselves out, so don't beat yourself up too much about it. It doesn't really do any good in the long run.

*glomps* T_T I'm pretty sure when my rationality flies out the window it goes knocking on your door begging for help.. LOL.
I still feel.. horrible.. but the days go on, yes? Everytime I start dwelling on it too much or I start ripping myself apart I just keep thinking "Well, Job had it a lot worse... so this is just a walk in the park!"
