Are full frame vans even made anymore, or did the SUV kill them off I wonder?
Weird both front and rear brakes would go at the same time. I'm assuming the brake master cylinder gave up the ghost or was it some other part both brake circuits have in common?
Weak coils happen, though my experience with that issue has been with super charged engines needing a hotter spark than stock coils could deliver. Misfires above 6-7 PSI north of 4K RPM were the only symptom, car would run just fine otherwise.
Modern stock coils run much hotter (higher voltage and current for much more energy) compared to our olde skool stuff mainly for emissions reasons. Means you pretty much have got to run a good premium plug though, the sparks are hot enough to erode the electrodes over time.
Hopefully the hoopty's will hold together long enough for you to fine a new to you vehicle on your own schedule.
