Scared to die?

It is funny how often I get the question if I am scared about going into the military since we are in a war right now or if I am scared to die. One hears about these questions but I never really thought they were asked until a year ago when I came to UM, now it is pretty regular

If you're living for someone else, though, then you're not really living for yourself, and thus you're probably not *truly* living. Yes, dying and leaving people alone is scary and sad and horrible to think about, but if you're really doing what you're passionate about, then you'll be SO alive. And the world needs more people who are truly alive.

Also, if you've found love once, you'll find it again. Not until you're good and ready for it, but it'll come. Never fear!

I'm sure you know I don't quite agree with what you think about the being a good person, but I'll just throw out that if you'd ever like to discuss it I'd be more than willing to.

I must admit that you are wise beyond your years... I tend to think about things such as this as well... but I can never get my thoughts into words. So it is very interesting for me to read your thoughts...

I find my different college courses are forcing me to see things in a different light... introducing me to 'the real world'. A lot of my thought processes have changed...

I don't know about you but I love discussing concepts and life in general... not many people will talk about the issues... most people want to pretend everything is amazing and wonderful... haha sorry Im rambling... anyways you should call me sometime if u get some time (I know your super busy most of the time) but yeah, id really enjoy talkin to you!
