Although... Al mentioned that Envy somehow managed to escape. It's a long shot, but you don't think he could have something to do with Mello's disappearance, do you?

The last I heard of Envy, he was nothing more than a worm in a pickle jar. But there's no telling what he's capable of doing, even in such a weakened form...

I'll look into this as a possible lead. It's all I have to work with, until more information comes to light.
