I could write about this all night but I will probably arbitrarily cut it off at some point. I don't particularly care if it's well written; I just need to write some of this down so I don't get into to a war with someone on Facebook

I am really hiding under a rock for this election (and all associated policies/amendments/rulings) because 2008 was horrible for my anxiety and it took me at least a year to recover from it, but I just wanted to say that when I needed a Capitol News Station name I went with "CFX" cause of faux news. :D

I had a friend who actually did disown me because I didn't like Obama in 2008 (yay moar anxiety).

I didn't realize that about CFX but that is awesome! :)

I'm conflicted over Obama personally but there is not a doubt in my mind that I would rather have him in office right now than have Sarah Palin one step away from the presidency. Though I don't know what your (former?) friend's dispute was with you over Obama, I think it's a shame that you lost someone over politics.

I admit that I can respond to some attacks on him with hostility but they are generally over racist material or people that just say stupid, factually-bankrupt shit. He's had a mixed first term with several successes and several failures but frankly I will vote for anyone that stands against the Republican establishment that has a shot to win.

At this point my wish list regarding politics is-
1) Don't let the country be completely destroyed
2) Don't reverse Roe v. Wade
3) Treat gays and lesbians as if they are actually people

Doesn't seem like too much to ask.
