Tomorrow is the day that our African Grey (Congo) parrot gets to come home. He's finally weaned off the liquid diet and ready to eat yummy fruits, vegetables, grains, and pretty much everything except avocados (which are basically poison to some parrots-and I have a slight allergy to them as well ( Read more... )

We got him from Tammy, who runs the shop. She hand-feeds all the babies until they're ready to go to their homes. She also offers free toenail trims and wing clipping. Which is handy, seeing as it's something I always hate doing.

Our Senegal parrot will only take baths to the point where her head is soaking wet. Otherwise, she hates being in sprayed water. I don't know what Gandalf likes to do, yet. At least he doesn't automatically hate me when I vacuum.
