ahh, thank you, that part was definitely a bit of a challenge seeing how little we know about Moonkyu, but it was still one of my favourite parts to write. :)

You are the best for picking up on everything I was trying to portray - they are such perfect foils for each other and I really feel like Taemin is the person that, to Jongin, both represents his potential and his hopes when looking ahead and, looking back, what he wanted for himself, and at the same time Taemin is the only person he can't really be jealous of, or begrudge, not just because he knows exactly what it took Taemin to get there, but also out of love for him. And Taemin is so endearingly pleased and happy for Jongin, and to have Jongin with him. Even with everything in flux, they're always able to fall back on things, on their history, so that even when they fall prey to that teenage kind of inability to communicate, to meet the other person halfway and/or in the right way, there's a kind of security, a foundation to their relationship, so that they're always comfortable with each other, and can come to understand each other (better
