I did manage to get it in to SIYE, just barely. I didn't go too over the top with the Cluedo stuff as I wanted the story to stand on its own irrespective of the challenge. I wish I'd have had just a bit more time to work on it. I got the idea to set it immediately after the kiss and build it around the love potion incident straight away, but then it fought with me for a while so I wound up taking it down to the wire when it finally started to come together. Glad you liked it.

Oh, this is very delightful. I love how everyone keeps pointing out the fact that Harry "snogged the living daylight out of Ginny." lol. And really interesting how Luna solved the mystery. Was Dean supposed to be the bad guy according to the prompts given on SIYE? While I've never seen him as bad, you make this story rather believable. It's really nice and funny.

Love Ron/Ginny interaction about the whole big brother code. :D

Bad Dean was not one of the prompts. The challenge was for a crime to be committed and solved based on the game Cluedo (Clue for us Yanks). I didn't go to over the top with the Clue references as I wanted the story to make sense even if you didn't know about the challenge.

I thought it would be fun to try and build the story around specific canon events. I figured lots of people would have it in for Romilda so that would give me several suspects to choose from. After the kiss, Harry specifically notices Dean and Romilda and of course Dean shatters the glass. So, I thought what if it was full of love potion and Dean was in cahoots with Romilda to keep Harry and Ginny apart.
