My father has been a hobbyist woodworker all my life. Now that he's retired, he finally has a nice shop set up in the basement with a lot of space. Most of his tools are fairly good, as many of them are hand-me-downs (hand-me-ups?) from my brother-in-law, who does woodwork professionally. 1. my inner 15 year old boy is slightly disappointed that 'Wood' Magazine is not porn.
2. my not-so-inner middle aged self who's trying to remodel a kitchen for free envies your easy use of sketchup. I suppose I should check and see if it has improved in the last decade, but I recall it giving me fits when we were trying to remodel the first kitchen...

Sketchup has its quirks, still, but I don't think it is as bad as it was. What I did was wait for Udemy to have a sale, then bought the Sketchup course for $10. For me, that made learning to model things the Sketchup way much easier.
