Which one of you wants t' know? Or which one am I speaking to, anyway. I find it helps, knowing, but y' don't have tae tell me if you don't want to. It sounds like you've a bone t' pick with someone, anyway.
Oh, not hardly. I simply go by two names, but Ms. Janvier seems to be the consensus in the City, so signing with both is a bit silly of me. So there's only the one person you're speaking with.
Oh aye, well you never know really. I've had to memorise scads of names for single bodies on occasion, as they get so cross when you go and forget one of them. You'll have to tell me which one to use anyway. You didnae say though, WAS someone rude about poetry to you? You seem awfully irritated for this to of come out of nowhere.
I don't really get poetry. I mean, I've tried but it always just kind of feels like you're trying to find the meaning behind words that someone just threw together to make something sound pretty.
But... have you ever read The Buried Life by Matthew Arnold?

Oh, that's lovely. I really couldn't have said that better myself. Whoever told you that sounds like a most insightful person, or at least one I would like to speak with.

"Alas! is even love too weak
To unlock the heart, and let it speak?
Are even lovers powerless to reveal
To one another what indeed they feel?"
A few times, yes.

This will sound trite, I worry, but can you say what it is that you like about it?

That's something someone once told me, and I think he said it better than I could.

But I've taken it to heart, or I've tried to. I read as much as I can manage.

What is his name, your teacher? And yours, of course.
