There was the butternut squash I carved in January just for the fun of it. I've also been meaning, for quite some time, to carve a turnip, and this year I finally did it!

And yes, I'm nicking your entry titles! Funny thing, though, late last week at work I was making a banner out or waste shipping labels to hang over the orderfilling desk that said exactly that!

By the time it took off over here I was a bit old for it and being childless I've never had cause to try it since. Of course I tend to be just terrible at things like that anyway so it's probably for the best.
