Bryan and I went out last night. We took me to this cool new place in Soho for dinner. It was adorable and incredibly unique. I was impressed. Remember the investment banker that gave a great donation the other day? He came into the food pantry yesterday! I was so shocked to see him there. He came in to make another donation on behalf of his company. How sweet. We talked for awhile and he helped me stock food cans in the kitchen of the pantry. Good deeds and charity are meant to be done out of the goodness of one's heart. It is not meant to further your social status or to make you look like a better person. Every year a few friends and I volunteer the week before Christmas. We started doing this about 6 years ago when we had to do volunteer work for service hours in one of our classes. Saturday night my girls and I had a show and a local bar. It was a small setting, about 50 people there, but it was great exposure and more importantly a lot of fun. Even though we did mostly covers we did perform 3 original songs and they all received great reception so we're excited about that.
