Considering a huge fraction of those foreclosures are not even living in the state anymore, I'd say it a damn legit reason to double check the votes of those people. Voting from two different addresses and maybe even states is also slimy and illegal.
People leaving the state from lack of work is endemic here, to the point where some think we're going to lose 1-4 electoral votes in the next electoral census.
It's no worse than Democrats trying to block republican voters from voting in the democrat primary's when their rules allowed it, after the media essentially chose the GOP candidate. Politics as usual with the coin parties.
And where are you getting the "huge fraction"? This is vote suppression. These tactics are simply the GOP showing once more that it is the enemy of those they are claiming to represent and serve. While in many respect the two parties are not much different, it is instances such as this which push the current GOP into the mire in my opinion
