I keep having to remind myself that, no, QB, 13 000 words in is not the appropriate place to introduce a subplot about unions. No matter how much you love unions ( Read more... )

Possibly because fandom at large all seem to have moved on to the Avengers...I don't know, but it's making things difficult.

First off, I have half of what you do and my brain won't work on anything but femslash. Also, are you at least in the Avengers fandom? Because on my end, if I liked Avengers, then fic would just be distracting, but since I don't, I really feel disconnected.

MY OFFER TO COME TO CANADA AND TAKE CARE OF YOU IS STILL OPEN. It only costs $40 to get to Toronto by bus and my passport is in my wallet. (The fact that I'd really love to see your chairs is simply a plus.)

I keep writing sports AUs and parliament AUs, because nobody stops me, oh god why does no one stop me when I do these things!

I am not in Avengers fandom, really; I like some of the comicsverse but x-men has always been my first love. I;ve tried to get into the movieverse fandom, but (a)I feel it has a lot of the problems that plague most young fandoms (the only thing that distinguishes the Avengers kmeme from the early days of firstclasskink is that there's less ableism wank, but rest assured there is still plenty of trans* wank, sexism wank, and size wank :/ Fandom, why can't you all just be awesome? Also, I really enjoy people who have clearly thought about the characters and fandom and their own internalised whatnot before writing; XMFC has a lot of these people and they write massive plotty AUs that make me happy. So I feel that same disconnect you do, but hey, I've survived in XMFC without being attracted to Michael Fassbender or ideologically convinced by Magneto, so I'm sure that were I more involved in the fandom I could find ( ... )
