I'm almost ready!

The past few weeks have been frantic. I made a silent promise to myself that I would get Zack's stocking finished this year. Some years ago, he was admiring the handmade stockings I had made for grammarcommie  and ezr07  when they were little and I asked him if he would like one, too. The stocking is beautiful! You did a great job. I don't know how to do needlepoint; I can appreciate the time it took you to do it.

It's funny how we keep our traditions. I make lasagna every Christmas Eve.

I can't crochet, but my oldest daughter is self taught and goes like gang busters.

I think just about every traditional Christmas Day food, aside from the turkey, has gone the way of the dodo. The creamed onions have morphed into an asparagus casserole. My grandmother's cornbread stuffing has changed into a cornbread and sausage stuffing that my family likes better. Somehow those Christmas Eve beans have made the cut, though.

Beutiful Stocking.

Enjoyed reading about baking beans. I put up my tree this year, although I'm the only one that will appreciate it, and that it is alot of frickin' work. The wizard of Oz theme tree, brings back great memories.

We all have beautiful memories that hold special moments in our hearts. This year I pared down and decided to stick to what I thought was important for Christmas. I think it's worked.
