would one of you lovely ladies advise me as to what to do with the leeks i bought at the store?
you are always posting yummy recipes so i thought you might have something for me?

whatever you do with them.. soak them several times!
they're full of dirt.

a quick clean:
cut off their green tops and slice them length wise. run them under water, fanning them back as you wash them (do this from both ends).

i leave a good chunk of the lite green and chuck the dark green, thick stuff.

and serve them with some melted butter and pepper
