Christmas lost most of its appeal ever since I learned that Santa wasn't actually real and, since I was about 10 at the time, I remember my sheer disappointment and humiliation by the fact that the whole world had deceived me for so long. i never really believed in santa because my parents never encouraged him. christmas is only magic for me at disneyland nowadays.

I feel the exact same way about Christmas. I actually remember arguing with my parents about Santa's existence after they dropped the bombshell on my sister and I. I was truly devastated.

I hope you get snow soon and nonetheless I'm glad that you had a fairly good Christmas. I'm sorry you missed the sales, though :(
