Registered for Summer II (July 11 - August 12) classes in MATH 1400 and BIOL 1110/1115 at UNT. Yeah, I decided it would be best to just go on ahead and take them up at UNT instead of Collin County Community College; it'll just be easier to have my brother taking me to classes and all.
Other than that, saw a bit of Naruto with Kristin. I want Sasuke to die a horrible death or just take up knitting. Yes. Knitting. Let him knit away his silly angst, for all I care, just so long as I don't have to hear him whine.
I also saw Unleashed yesterday, which is Jet Li's first decent American film! That was a satisfying romp. Jet Li truly did look like a poor little puppy, the fighting scenes were spectacular, and the dialogue and characters were pretty hilarious.
Speaking of films, Fear and Trembling at the Dallas Angelika was... very strange, sad, and funny. Basically it is about a Belgian woman who was originally born in Japan, but was raised in Belgium from age five onward. She later goes back to work in Japan as an interpreter, only to find that it isn't going to be that easy to assimilate herself in this country. I cannot vouch how much of what was portrayed in there was actually true of the culture in the Japanese workplace, but it certainly is making me think twice about working in Japan.
... And I'm going this Wednesday to practice driving with my dad and have an early birthday celebration, since he and my step-mom have to leave for the weekend to Canada. I'm still celebrating my actual birthday with my mom and brother, though, on Sunday. I truly prefer having small birthday parties; otherwise, I feel the pressures to entertain people and end up stressing too much.
... And I still need to call Barbara to see if I can get a tour of UT while I'm going down for Heidi's wedding, and also to see if I can catch a ride back up in time for at least Sunday of A-kon. Fweeee.
