List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LiveJournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

1. "Rise" by Yoko Kanno
2. "2 Wicky" by Hooverphonic
3. "Alive" by Momota Kayoko
4. "Apart" by Elkland
5. "Divine Identity" by Shoji Meguro (from the Digital Devil Saga 2 OST)
6. "Don't Push" by The Exit
7. "The Man with the Machine Gun" by The Black Mages

In other news, Thanksgiving was good. It was just the three of us, my mom, my brother, and myself. I helped mom cook the stuffing like I usually do. The only thing really missing this year was a good marathon to watch. In previous years we would either watch The X-Files marathon they used to have on FX or a Buffy marathon, but neither was on TV this year. We watched a bit of the That 70's Show marathon, but it wasn't quite the same...

I've also finally disciplined myself to study Japanese again. Yes, I should have started a long time ago, but I'm making up for it by trying to study at least four hours a day to attempt to pick up where I left off > o >;. The good thing is that I do still remember most of my vocabulary and kanji. The main thing that's still killing me are the grammar aspects. And speaking of academic discipline, I got an e-mail back from Dr. Armintor and he's more than willing to write me a letter of recommendation for the UT transfer. YES! >D; ::dances:: He also sent me a picture of his son Jonah, who's about 11 months old now. He's so cute!

But probably the most amazing thing that's happened recently was when we put grandmother's house on the market. With her dementia getting worse by the day, we just can't have her living out there by herself, so we're going to make do and have her come down here to Austin. And barely two weeks after we put the house up for sale... a person in Las Cruces has offered to pay $145,000 for it! Five years ago we would have been lucky to sell it for $117,000! Just amazing. My mom's jaw dropped to the floor when she got the phone call from the realtor. Looks like we're slowly but surely dealing with everything that needs to get done. Wootage~.
