...there's a difference in this intent

...so there was a void in my life and I filled it with and it is unlikely it can replace TVD in anyway shape or form because they are different (vastly IMHO) but it entertains:

1) I kinda love the horror tropes it uses. Like a lot. I mean I always get excited when I see horror tropes in supernatural themed TV shows that's why I was so excited for the early TVD, True Blood and um, SPN when they all started because the first couple of eps where kinda amazing for that but then they sort of peter out and no longer exist much (ok, so I got bored with SPN and True Blood pretty early in their first seasons so cannot speak...), but for Teen Wolf they used them the whole way through Season 1 and I lol'd forever. ♥

2) Kate Argent. Ok, no lie she is awful and genuinely psychopathic, have I mentioned I have type? but OMFG I am super excited that she exists. I am not sure I can articulate. Every time she had screen time I was just a little bit floored at how crazy wrong she was. In a way she reminds me of Faith (BtVS) but also sort of not really because she has (had) way more conviction about her actions. I mean, she is brilliant in her hokey villainess ways and I adore her. Yet I am not sorry about her end. (Well, ok, maybe a little).

3) Stiles. Of course. Because. Stiles.

4) Derek Hale. So I am not wholly convinced by him. Even a little. There is something not all there about him, like we do not have all the pertinent information. IDK. I don't really think he's the person he's trying to be or is being forced to be is maybe more accurate. Also, I think it's a shame that Laura was dead from the pilot because um, Derek is actually interesting and all (sorta, ok, when I say interesting I mean entertaining) but I am way more curious about Laura. So, you know. There's that.

5)Derek/Stiles. LOL. I mean I have gone to find fic and it usually turns into unsatisfying (to me) fluff. BUT I really enjoy their interactions on screen and I get why it is shipped and all. I just...don't ever see it going into fluff territory at all. Even if there were to be consensual shenanigans. (yes, shenangians. what.)

So despite the fact that it has things I like and not really many things I don't like. I am still...not certain I want to embark on Season 2 even though there has been so much squee about it (apparently the S2 final was this week, who would have ever guessed?). Maybe if I get sick and end up bed ridden again (I hope not). Convince me.

la television, i have terrible taste, teen wolf
