OMG. So you may be aware I am not very good at OTPs...like Pansy/Neville is kinda the only one I have that meets the strict requirements of One True Pair-ness, but before HP in my "very first fandom" (tm) which is atypical for fandoms (ie. most of the fanfic is OCs set in that world) as far as my experience goes there was Jez/Morgead from Book 7 of LJ Smith's Nightworld (paranormal romance YA, they are like crack if you haven't had the pleasure) and IDK! Something about them just hit all of my twelve/thirteen year old self's buttons.

The book's synopsis is here and pretty much rivals/best friend thing where they are all adorable and angsty and have history and I may have imprinted on them? But yeah, they would have to be my first OTP and yep, super obscure. Alas. I am sorry for the rambles on something you have probably never heard of.

Wow. Ok. You have unwittingly signed on for an essay about my fandom life, jysk.

I've been in internet fandom as a thing since...omg, 2001 and I started with LJ Smith's Nightworld (haha, full circle with TVD, honestly) and there are still authors who write/wrote in that that I follow and look out for and I followed them across fandoms, notably Tortall (Tamora Piece) and HP and HP is epic. It's a place to get lost in, and now I am sort just "in fandom" generally. I am obviously I am invested in some (TVD) more than others (Whedonverse) and probably can still consider myself in LJS at least tangentially (whoo 11 years, god, my life decisions) but probably HP is the longest one I've been "active" in since I wrote (rather than just lurked) in that from 2004 to 2010 (so 6 years) and look, I may write in again in it (probably not) so yeah.

A long time relative to my age is the short answer.

I make no guarantees about quality. It is all rarepair and gen fic. You have been warned.
