His voice sounds great even in the clip - and so does Gareth's, especially as he wasn't doing his usual shrieky thing.

It was a shame James took ill, but as we otherwise wouldn't have had the Kai, Stev and Gareth Thingy show I'm not complaining. Hopefully he's being well looked after and will be OK for Wednesday.
