There is a group of first-years sitting two tables away who are daring each other to see how many cups of coffee they can drink tonight at dinner. I'm not quite sure where they got the idea.

I doubt they'll be able to even finish one cup of coffee.

I would hope so. They were mostly Ravenclaws, but one of them was from our house. I, er, told them that they'd have trouble sleeping if they went through with that dare, but apparently that's one of the perks of the situation in their eyes.

You should have told them drinking coffee will make them lose one or both of their eyes. Perhaps they will think twice about it, then.

That would probably be more convincing if they didn't see others drink it all the time, alas.
