I don't think what people seem to believe about Professor Quince being prejudiced against purebloods in his class is true. At least, thus far I've not noticed anything of the sort. That being said, there's quite a large quantity of work. Which my partner does not seem to want to contribute to.Daniel, I've done the research on the use of dragon's ( Read more... )

The rather flirtatious Ravenclaw Prefect is fine, and has in fact noticed the batting of the eyelashes, but is choosing to disregard it in the face of the fact that he can't focus on assisting on the homework if he chose to acknowledge the eyelashes. Thank you, however.

Are you quite sure you're all right? You are referring to yourself in the third person.

Quite well, thanks. Lots of work to do, though, alas.

As you say. There are Muggleborns failing the class as well as purebloods, I believe.

Maybe they're just that bad.

Did you mean Muggleborns in general or just the Muggleborns taking that class?

Potions? I suppose it is. Particularly if one's partner does not seem at all interested in helping.

I'm beginning to think that I escaped by deciding not to take NEWT level Potions. That or I'm just lazy. Not as lazy as your partner though, by the looks of things.

You're probably right about escape. I'm glad that Professor Quince is, at least, a fair and encouraging instructor. I'm sure whatever the reason you decided not to continue with it, you're spared a bit of aggravation and extra work.

I had to work myself to the bone just to get that "E." I'm afraid I have not inherited my father's aptitude for the subject. It's the sort of thing that needs to have your attention on it at all times, don't you find? With Charms if you cast something wrong, you can do it again, but with Potions one wrong quantity of an ingredient and that's it.

Private to Rosalind: Smith isn't being very careful above, if she's saying what she might be.

Yes, Potions takes a lot of patience and precision. I do all right, but I think I'm better with classes that are more theoretical and have less chances of explosions, etc.

Private to Scorpius: I'm not quite sure she means that, but... well, she doesn't seem to place a lot of emphasis on tact most of the time, from what I've seen.
