Planning a wedding has made me feel more like gouging out my eyes then actually getting married.....

Congratulations on the upcoming wedding! My husband and I ducked out of all that stress by just doing the paper work with a few witnesses at a coffee shop.

This is always why I laughed maniacally when everyone kept telling me that my wedding day was going to be the "happiest day of my life". wtf, so it's all downhill from here? I'd still be single if I actually bought into that crap.

If it helps any, think of weddings you've gone to. No one remembers the favors, the invitations, the flowers, the "colors", or any of the rest of the trappings unless they're really hideous. So as long as you keep things fairly boring, it'll be fine. Heck, I don't even remember my OWN vows, forget anyone else's (though I do still find it highly ironic when the really expensive weddings use the "love is not boastful, love is not arrogant" bit in the service - if it's not boastful or arrogant, why the heck did you just drop $80K on the wedding???)

Lol Jinjre! Malwae I wish we could do something smaller. With an East Indian family though, that pretty well like smacking them in the face.

We found a place that reasonable (under 2k)and they do literally everything! They supply the booze waiters...they decorate, take down...everything. We just gotta show up!

The day before we get married is our 15th anniversary, so I want everything to be cheaply epic. 15 years is quite a milestone!
