Aaah...the non facebook place that I don't have to be so wary about who's watching. a.k.a. It's really nice to write what you want and not have all your managers and coworkers reading what a lame ass you are or how much you hate work, 'cause eventhough you're not at work, you still have to be on good behavior. I do like it better than Myspace (gave that up), but I just don't want to burn bridges unintentionally, you know?

i do remember ashleigh.. at least it was with a guy she's been with for a while, the way you wrote it i thought that you meant someone fooled around with a manager just to get knocked up. it's still not cool if she gets a position while on maternity leave though.

and maybe i'll send them a note about expediting. haha.

trust me.. the headaches suck, i understand that. i was the only person in my department and was expected to do the work of 3 coordinators and an asst mgr, so i TOTALLY understand. but it took me 2 years to get back to my salary at the end of my ikea tenure. and i might soon be back in the job market.

after 5 years, I probably still make less than you. ha ha. I'm ok with it. they'll never pay anyone what they're worth.

The only 4 people you'd know in CS: Deborah (I'm suprised she hasn't jumped off a cliff, yet) Alan, David from HD (he changed from FT to PT-only there a couple of days a week for a few hrs) and Stephen (carts to fsho to HD). They terminated Bob a couple of weeks ago. It's BAREBONES...it's actually *UNDER* staffed in CS, but they aren't hiring. *shrug* (And that only leaves 2 people you don't know--Ron, a delivery guy, and Jevon for fsho) Yes, CS/aftersales/home delivery/fsho runs on 5 people in store and 1 doing deliveries-- and only Deborah is full time. NUTS!!!

Sorry I'm using you as my venting black hole..but it sucks not having the cs family like we used to. it was FAMILY. now it's just people trying to survive work.

Good luck with the new job search! I'm ready to move on too--just too chicken to actually venture out there.

freebies are *always* good. I just tried to pack 5 days worth of $h!t in a carry-on size back so I don't have to pay $20 to check it there or $20 to check it on the way back. :oS

Anyway. LAS Vegas!!! is going to be a whirlwind and hopefully full of great stories...
