condo was cleaned and delivery guys arrived at 6:30. I started to help them bring things in, and they were all, like, "what are you doing?!" ha ha. I'm so used to doing that type of stuff. I brought in two small things, then let them bring in the rest ( Read more... )

What you need is a table next to the bathroom (for water) with a small microwave. Then you can delight in the luxury of canned pasta with your granola. Otherwise, add canned meats like vienna sausages, canned fruit, peanut butter and applesauce to your grocery list...none of them require electrical help. And to go with the PB, gently raid the jelly packet bin at a fastfood place that serves breakfast biscuits *g*

Don't stress the work while you're prioritized with more pressing things. Maybe they won't hire this batch and the FT position will be relisted. Or put in a word that you know you "missed the deadline then so next time, you definitely won't..." in an ear that can help eventually.

Hey Mar, thanks for the ideas. I *do* have a microwave, I just don't like to cook with it beyond popcorn. I'm not a fan of canned things, let alone canned meat products, but peanutbutter is definitely a staple of mine. Looks like it's gonna be a breakfast for dinner this week. :o)

Oh, yeah, btw, not stressed about the missing the job thing. Wasn't going to get it anyway. Was more of a *slapsforehead* thing.

Wtf is Dan doing in Utah?! He called my brother to offer him a job, but he was 2 weeks too late coz he just got a job in Vermont for the summer.

Hope your remodel goes quickly and easily!

Hey Kell, yeah, Dan is moving to UTAH. (wtf, definitely) But he just graduated, and took the HFB 1+2 (Um that's Living Rooms and Media Storage) management position in the Draper store. So, yes, not only is he staying with the company, he's moving to UTAH for it. It must be a *HELL* of a deal. I know they're paying his moving costs, which is unheard of, and it's gotta be hella good money. But, yeah, he's been trying to get out and this was his chance. I say good for him, but I'm still WTF-ing on the UTAH! part.

Wow... That is insane. I heard good things about the Utah store, and it is Dan so he'll probably be happier with the Mormons, but wow. Crazy.
