One of the annoyances on my last trip to London was that I walked from the Tate Modern to the Elephant and Castle roundabout looking for the Michael Faraday Memorial and couldn't find it. No plaque or concrete statue in sight anywhere. There was a huge steel casing there that looked like a fancy covering for some industrial eyesore like air ( Read more... )

Poor Faraday. Oh well, sounds like a cool trip, though. Question, did you read Neal Stephenson's Baroque Cycle before going? If not you should definitely do so now. Such a great series, I'm definitely looking forward to going to London. :)

The Baroque Cycle has been on my read list for years, but I've never gotten around to it. When are you going to London?

Unsure just now. Should be the next time we head across the Atlantic. So, maybe a in a year and a half or two and a half. We are still planning on moving to San Francisco this summer, that is taking precedents over everything else.
