Yesterday morning, before my oral exam, on my radio alarm lock, NPR was talking about acting at what it takes to be a good actor. They were saying how it takes some intelligence and such, but
"acting is not, after all, brain sugery or physics"
I just read "Don't think of an elephant!" by George Lakoff. A very interesting book; I highly recommend it. Naturally, it makes me want to learn more about cognitive science and linguistics. Reframing might be helpful in teaching and outreach--in overcoming people's misconceptions about science--as well in politics.
Normally these sort of ramblings would go in my private diary, but since it’s break, I’ll try including a bit of history and posting it here for the curiosity of others
