Played paintball today for the first time in my life. Indoors. After the first time I got hit in the face, paint splattered through the airholes of my protective mask, under my glasses and into my eye. Not fun. Even after wiping the paint off my eyelid, I couldn't see very well because my goggles had greasy paint smeared all over them. That made

That's a lot less of a problem if you play in a mode where you are removed from the play field after you're shot. Gives you a chance to nurse your wounds and clean off your goggles.

We were supposed to wait inside a "dead box" after being shot until the next game but weren't allowed to take off our goggles until we actually left the arena, which happened every 3 games. Also, I got paint on my glasses in the first game and those are much harder to clean off so I just stopped wearing them, which didn't help much in the clarity of vision dept.
