Every time I load film in our downstairs workshop I imagine giant bugs creeping up on me. We have those big hopping crickets too, and monster Palmetto [roach] bugs. The other day I found, lying on its back at the entrance to the shop like a cockroach mafia threat, the 3 inch roach of my nightmares.

I no longer load film barefoot.

hot DAMN! and I thought my little homie was creepy. I'd scream like a little bitch too.

I finally dug out my camera, shot my first roll of analog film in 4 years, and stole the "darkroom kit" from my roommate. He'd never used it, I'd never looked at it. Come to find out, it doesn't have processing junk, just printing. eff effing eff eff eff. Now I don't get to see pretty pictures tonight :(

I feel for ya - I just moved to Annapolis last year, and we're living out in the woods near the water. I've seen a total of two or three camelback crickets in the basement (they're terribly creepy) - and a large amount of bugs outside while working in my garden that I cannot identify.

*shudders* The woods are beautiful, but full of things that I don't want to come across face to face.
